Science centre
I worked on the interaction and UI design of the 20 multimedia exhibits that make up a large portion of the new VilVite Sotra science centre. They are meant to teach local children about the culture, nature and industry of their home: Norway and specifically the island of Sotra.
The exhibits, like their subjects, vary wildly. They range from highly educational to just fun. Some focus on creativity, some on cooperation and others on skill. And while many are interacted with through touch screens, some have projections and physical controls such as a steering wheel, buttons, oar handles or remotes.
This diversity is reflected in the individual game designs. Each is unique and fitting to the game content and goal. Nonetheless they were designed with common elements and patterns to form a coherent whole.
